This was perfect for an extended layover in panama city. simple, safe, near the airport. They arranged a shuttle to pick us up at night and return us in the morning to the airport, as well as help our bags while we checked out old town. The driver also works in the hostel, and is incredible sweet and punctual. We all felt very safe.
I have stayed at over 40 hostels on this trip and surprisingly this was the biggest disappointment of them all! I let the hostel know that I would be checking in at 20:00 however immigration took almost 2 hrs to get through and I attempted to let the hostel know I would be a little late.. I arrived at 20:45 just 15 minutes after reception being "closed" to a locked door and LITERALLY nobody there.. No night time security or anything! Much better hostel just a few blocks away!!
Great spot. I stayed in 3 hostels in Boquete and this was the cleanest and most modern by far.
Stayed quiet at night, there was a movie on in the common area.
The kitchen was beautiful with new appliances and very well organized and cleaned. Canu2019t complain about bedroom. Awesome WIFI.
A new, very clean hostel in the San Francisco area of Panama City. It's a short Uber ride away from the old city (about $6) and in an area that's safe to walk around - with a supermarket 5 mins walk away. Also try Esa Flaca Rica for dinner (7 mins walk). The kitchen is well equipped and clean with all new hobs and pans, WiFi is good and you have a fridge in private rooms which is handy. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Plus breakfast is great - eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit and coffee.
The kitchen is well supplied with 2 stoves and all new pots, pans, utensils etc. The darn hostel has no sign out front making it hard to find for new arrivals. Bathrooms need hooks, why do hostels almost always avoid hooks? Jeez! Wifi needs boosting in rooms. Clean throughout.
